Dr. A.J. Peretz DDS
A proud third generation dentist, Dr. Peretz has a personal commitment to perfecting the art of dentistry. He knows a beautiful smile includes your face, personality and individual spirit, not just your teeth.
He has provided care to the greater Washington, D.C. area for over 20 years, and strives to create a positive environment and experience for all patients. Dr. Peretz and his staff continually learn new dental techniques to ensure patients receive the most advanced dental care available at their convenience.
A 1997 Howard University graduate, and recipient of the prestigious Oral Pathology Award, he completed a rigorous general practice residency at Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown, PA., fulfilling more than required by the dental licensing board.
A member of several honored professional associations, Dr. Peretz is an active supporter of the National Kidney Foundation and volunteers his dentistry skills to the local VA , as well as overseas.
He is currently welcoming patients from Bethesda, Arlington, McLean, Alexandria and Washington, D.C.

Leveraging more than two decades of excellence in dentistry, Dr. Peretz has earned distinction as a leader in his field. In this capacity, he has been a dentist for Georgetown Smile since 2006, focusing his efforts on cosmetic dentistry. His office uses the most updated technology and procedures to provide dental treatments that are efficient, productive, and pleasant. Georgetown Smile is revered for its great service within the community.
Among his professional accomplishments, Dr. Peretz is proud to have been named one of the Best General Dentists and Specialists by the Washington Magazine. He received an award from the Disabled American Veteran Commanders Club in 2014. He was named America’s Top Dentist by the Consumer’s Research Council of America in 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2018.
Since 2000 Dr. Peretz has been using his skill set and experience to give back to the community. Amongst his many endeavors, one of his most rewarding was when he traveled overseas to Mexico and Israel to volunteer and perform pro bono dentistry.
As an advocate of comprehensive dentistry, Dr. Peretz uses a wide array of cosmetic and restorative procedures to enhance his patient experience. Dr. Peretz is a lifetime member of numerous prestigious dental societies such as the American Academy of General Dentistry.
